Kate Wright Kelly

groovy

Kate Wright Kelly analyses the effect of different silviculture practices on salamander abundance and movement.
In addition, she is examining what microhabitat features most successfully predict salamander abundance. Kate is marking salamanders with elastomer dyes and determining their fate after timber harvesting (i.e. clear cuts).
This project is part of a long term monitoring project on the MeadWestvaco Ecosystem Research Forest in West Virginia.
